Flextronics and Casio enter partnership.

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. (カシオ計算機株式会社 Computer Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Tokyo (tō`kēō), city (1990 pop. 8,163,573), capital of Japan and of Tokyo prefecture, E central Honshu, at the head of Tokyo Bay. , Japan), a consumer electronics
company, have announced a contract manufacturing agreement in which
Flextronics will manufacture a variety of Casio's electronic
products. The agreement includes the purchase of Casio's production
facility in Shah Alam Shah Alam (shä ä`ləm), 1728–1806, Mughal emperor of India (1759–1806). Driven out of Delhi in 1758, he nonetheless proclaimed himself emperor after the murder (1759) of his father, Alamgir II. , Malaysia. In addition, Casio will sell its
manufacturing operation in Aichi, Japan, excluding the land and
building. The contract also involves Flextronics' acquisition of
certain equipment from Casio's factory in Kluang, Johor, Malaysia.
The agreement is estimated to exceed $1.5 billion over three years.
The facility in Aichi, Japan, will also serve as Flextronics'
site for repair, logistics and distribution services and will also act
as a launching point for Japanese customers' new product
introductions. The acquisition will bring Flextronics' total
