Under the direction of Gail Snowden, managing director of Fleet's Community Banking Group and CRA See Community Reinvestment Act. , the committee will monitor and advise on the company's efforts in meeting its five-year, $14.6 billion community investment commitment. As part of this commitment, which was announced prior to the October 1, 1999 close of Fleet Financial Group's merger with BankBoston, the bank stated its intention to appoint community representatives from each of the states within its franchise to serve in an advisory role.
