The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William James Flanagan of Clinton. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Beatrice Green and the late Mr. Doyle Green of Yazoo City and the late Mr. Bill and Mrs. Mildred Flanagan of Jackson.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Phillips Mathis of Corinth. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Taft Little of Corinth, Ms. Margaret Phillips Mathis of Tupelo, and Dr. Robert E. Mathis of Corinth.

Guests were greeted at the church by Mr. and Mrs. Don Jordan of Clinton. Serving as registry attendants were Jill Waycaster and Caroline Wicker of Tupelo. Amy Woodhouse and Allison Woodhouse of Corinth served as program attendants. Janet Lee of A Perfect Match was the bridal consultant.

Rev. Harvey Ellis performed the double-ring ceremony. Mrs. Sue McAllister assisted by reading Scripture. The Call to Worship was "I Need Thee Every Hour," sung by Meredith Edwards. The mothers and grandparents entered to "The Wedding Song," played on saxophone by Nicholas Whipple and pianist Terry Deviney. A video of the bride and groom was shown with praise to God offered by Ben Mathis singing "How Great is Our God," accompanied by the other vocalists. In general, bluegrasses are perennial with fine-leaved foliage that is bluish green in some species.  Band, of which the groom had been a member, played "Ashokan Farewell" as the wedding party processed. Bridesmaids were Lauren Brown, Valerie Davis, Carrie Horton, and Alisa McElveen of Brandon; Christy Jordan, Annelise Nutt, and Kelly Robinson of Clinton; Kristin Ferguson of Hoover, Alabama; Lauren Hester of New Hope; and Ashley Johnston of Yazoo City. Attendants wore two-piece ensembles of black dupioni silk with strapless tops along with floor-length draped skirts. They carried hand-tied bouquets of red, orange, yellow, and pink roses. Flower girls were Haley Williams and Lauren Head of Madison. They wore ivory dresses with satin sleeveless bodices, tulle Tulle (tl, Fr. tül), town (1990 pop. 18,685), capital of Corrèze dept., S central France. Firearms and other goods are made there. Tulle was built around a 7th-century monastery.  skirts, and black satin sashes. They also wore baby's breath halos and carried baskets of white rose petals. Carrie Cope of Clinton served as the bride's proxy.

Dr. Robert P. Mathis of Corinth served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Matt Flanagan of Clinton; Ben Mathis and John Mathis of Corinth; Todd Kennedy of Tupelo; Bo Baxter of Southaven; Michael Bowling of Jackson; Tyler Young of Arlington, Virginia; Taylor Nicholas of Alexandria, Virginia; Hunter Jones of Hoover, Alabama; and Ben Hill of Birmingham, Alabama. Ring bearers were Chase Head and Hunter Williams of Madison. They carried hand-sewn pillows adorned with the couple's initials. Ushers were Matt Dennis and Wes Horton of Brandon; Pres ton Whittington of Sahuarita, Arizona; John Crisler and Steven Peeples of Yazoo City.

After the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained guests with a reception in the church fellowship hall. Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious foods prepared by Wendy Putt of Fresh Cut. Each layer of the four-tiered wedding cake was a different flavor, finished with buttercream icing. The attendants' flowers decorated the bottom of the silver cake platter. The groom's dessert was cheesecake with a variety of toppings. The groom's table was adorned with a porcelain figurine of a doctor which had first been displayed on his father's groom's cake.

Earlier in the day, the bride and her bridesmaids were treated to a prayer brunch at The Salon in Jackson. The bride's father hosted a prayer breakfast for the groom and his attendants. At each event, the beloved friends shared their favorite Scripture and wishes for the bride and groom. Guests were treated to a video presentation highlighting favorite memories of the bride and groom growing up with many of the people in attendance at the dinner.

Following a honeymoon to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Brandon. The bride is a teacher at Pecan Park Elementary School, and the groom is a medical student at The University of Mississippi Medical Center University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMC) is the health sciences campus of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). Located in Jackson, Mississippi (USA), it houses the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Health Related Professions, and Graduate Studies in the Health .
