Five new medical/biology titles from Landes Bioscience.

Biology and medical publisher Landes Bioscience (Georgetown, TX) has begun the publication of two new journals, including "Autophagy autophagy /au·toph·a·gy/ (aw-tof´ah-je)
1. lysosomal digestion of a cell's own cytoplasmic material.

2. autophagia.

An integrated bodily response to an antigen, especially one mediated by lymphocytes and involving recognition of antigens by specific antibodies or previously sensitized lymphocytes.
. An annual subscription costs $59 for the online edition and $109 for the combined print/online editions.

Published six times a year, "Human Vaccines" was launched earlier this year to cover the increasing prominence of vaccines in medical professions. Content includes coverage of discovery, research, enabling technologies, product development, clinical studies, policy, safety, commercial utilization, therapeutic vaccines, infectious disease targets and noninfectious disease targets, including cancer, allergies and autoimmunity. A combined print/online subscription costs $129.

"Calcium Binding Proteins" will be launched with a January issue to focus on the structure and function of calcium binding proteins and their association with calcium. To be produced quarterly, the title will carry information on the role of calcium binding proteins both inside and outside the cell and their regulation of disease processes. A combined print/online subscription costs $129.

"Epigenetics" will be published six times a year beginning with a January/February issue. Landes said the journal will cover epigenetics in its broadest interpretation to provide a comprehensive view of epigenetic epigenetic /epi·ge·net·ic/ (-je-net´ik)
