SIGNAL HILL, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--Dec. 19, 2000

Following nearly two years of development, Fitness Heaven Inc. has launched a dynamic, one-stop health, fitness and wellness Web site that takes a holistic approach holistic approach A term used in alternative health for a philosophical approach to health care, in which the entire Pt is evaluated and treated. See Alternative medicine, Holistic medicine.  to personal well-being.

FitnessHeaven.com(SM) offers a wealth of balanced information with a depth and breadth unmatched on virtually any other online source. Visitors can access information on exercise, nutrition, medicine, diets, sports, even home and family life.

"We've made a pointed effort to provide content on FitnessHeaven.com that is not only authoritative and helpful, but engaging and entertaining," said Paris Roussos, Fitness Heaven's vision development and integration director.

"In addition to building and providing an ever-growing reference library, we are constantly commissioning and gathering studies, articles and reports from our pool of hundreds of `Passionate Experts,' doctors and scientists. Their contributions allow us to refresh the site's content regularly, even hourly in some cases."

Much of the content at FitnessHeaven.com is available to all visitors. However, two levels of membership provide extra benefits: The free Silver membership, available through a simple online registration process, allows access to certain interactive services; Gold Membership, which is $6.95 per month or $35 per year pre-paid, allows access to all of the site's interactive components, personalized information and an extensive discount program for products from major retailers and manufacturers.

"Our discount program alone will more than recover the cost of a Gold membership the very first time you use the program," said Don Ressler, president. "The sheer amount of top quality merchandise and services available at a substantial discount through our online program will make other similar programs pale in comparison."

FitnessHeaven.com is divided into five primary sections: Health, Fitness, Wellness, Diet and Athletics, and within those sections is a virtual library of useful information, health perspectives, interactive functions, opinions, even humor.
