Fitch Rates AGL Capital Corp.'s $175MM Senior Notes 'A-'.


NEW YORK -- Fitch has assigned an 'A-' rating to AGL Capital Corp.'s (AGLC AGLC Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (Canada)
AGLC Atlanta Gas Light Company
) issuance of $175 million 6.375% senior unsecured notes due July 2016. This issue will rank equally with AGLC's existing senior unsecured obligations and will be used to pay down short term debt. The Outlook is Stable.

) is an energy services holding company whose primary operating subsidiaries include Atlanta Gas Light Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGLC), commonly known as Atlanta Gas Light, is the largest natural gas wholesaler in the Southeast U.S., and is the AGL in AGL Resources. It was founded in 1856 and is headquartered in Atlanta, as is AGL Resources.  Co., Virginia Natural Gas Co., and Elizabethtown Gas Co. Through these, and other smaller subsidiaries, AGLR distributes natural gas to more than 2.2 million customers throughout Georgia, southeastern Virginia, New Jersey, Florida, Maryland, and a small portion of Tennessee. Non-utility activities include retail gas marketing and wholesale natural gas services.
