Fitch fitch: see polecat.  takes ratings actions on the following residential mortgage-backed securitizations:
-- WMC 1997-1, class B ($4,815,657 outstanding), rated 'BBB+' is downgraded to
'BB' and placed on Rating Watch Negative;

-- WMC 1997-2, class B ($7,981,438 outstanding), rated 'BBB' is downgraded to
'BB' and placed on Rating Watch Negative;

-- WMC 1998-1, class B ($12,544,034 outstanding), rated 'BBB' is downgraded to
'BB' and placed on Rating Watch Negative.


The action is the result of a review of the level of losses incurred to date and the current high delinquencies relative to the applicable credit support levels. As of the June 25, 2001 distribution:
