Fisher-Rosemount Systems today announces the release of three new products that dramatically increase the DeltaV system's integration capability.

The new OPC 2.0 server increases the amount and scope of information that can be shared between the DeltaV system and client applications. The OPC Mirror is a TimeSaving Solution that allows customers to connect OPC-compliant systems, like DeltaV, with up to five other systems.

The new OPC pager feature permits users to be alerted via standard pager service anywhere in the world when conditions at their facility require attention. The new DeltaV Web Server permits users to access real time data from anywhere using standard Web browser technology.

The new Version 2.0 OPC Server fully incorporates the new OPC 2.0 Data Access specification including enhancements to the 1.0a specification and the new ActiveX Automation Interface. The new ActiveX Automation Interface has support for Microsoft Visual Basic and productivity applications like Excel that use Visual Basic for Applications. This server provides fast communications to client applications with data exchange rates of up to 1,000 values per second. Data communications take place whether the client application is on the same server or is communicating across plant networks.

Fisher-Rosemount Systems extends its long list of firsts in OPC technology with the release of the OPC Pager product. The OPC Pager lets users set "triggers" on their data and notifies them when the values reach these alert criteria. The OPC Pager works with virtually any commercial pager service using Telocator Alphanumeric Protocol (TAP) including Iridium(R) pagers for worldwide service. The OPC pager runs on any standard PC running Windows NT.

The new DeltaV Web Server product allows users secure remote access to process graphics, events, historic trends and real time trends. The Web Server product allows customers to easily view real time information from the DeltaV system in standard HTML page format. These Web pages can be posted on the customer's secure intranet and viewed using standard Web browsers with all process data updated in real time.
