Fiserv, Inc. Finalizes Agreement To Acquire Resources Trust Company from SunAmerica Inc.

Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ:FISV) said today that it has completed its previously announced agreement to acquire Resources Trust Company (RTC) from SunAmerica Inc., according to Leslie M. Muma, Chairman, President and CEO of Fiserv.
Resources Trust Company specializes in the administration of self-directed retirement plan accounts and custodial investment accounts. Based in Englewood, Colorado, the company provides a variety of administrative custodial services, including record keeping, reporting and securities trading for accounts managed by registered representatives and registered investment advisers. RTC performs these custodial services for individual retirement plans, single and multi-participant business plans, and custodial investment accounts.
Fiserv provides similar, complementary services through its Trust Services Group, consisting of its First Trust and Lincoln Trust subsidiaries. With the completion of this acquisition, the Company's combined trust operations will administer more than 368,000 plans with a total asset value over $32 billion.
