First woman priest to be honoured.


To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Rev. Florence Li Tim-Oi Florence Li Tim-Oi (Chinese: 李添嬡 Cantonese Lei Tim'oi, Mandarin Li Tian'ai; 5 May 1907 in Hong Kong – 26 February 1992 in Toronto) was the first female priest to be ordained in the Anglican Communion. , the first woman priest in the Anglican Communion, a service will be held on May 6 at All Saints' Chinese Church, in Markham, Ont., near Toronto.

A native of Hong Kong, Ms. Tim-Oi was ordained or·dain  
tr.v. or·dained, or·dain·ing, or·dains
1.
a. To invest with ministerial or priestly authority; confer holy orders on.

b. To authorize as a rabbi.

2.
 to the priesthood in 1944; she obtained doctors of divinity at New York's General Theological Seminary Coordinates:  The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church is located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City.  in 1987 and at Toronto's Trinity College in 1991. She died in Toronto in 1992.
