First woman bishop.


(ENI)--Rev. Rosemarie Wenner Rosemarie Wenner (born July 1 1955 in Eppingen, Heilbronn, Baden-Württemberg) is the current Presiding Bishop of the United Methodist Church in Germany.

Rosemarie Wenner studied in Reutlingen, Germany.
, 49, has become the first woman to be elected bishop of the United Methodist Church United Methodist Church, in the United States, religious body formed by the union in 1968 of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Methodist Church (see Methodism).  in Germany and the denomination's first female bishop outside the United States.
