Mosley is the second son of Sir Oswald Mosley, former leader of the British Union of Fascists, and Diana Mitford, an admirer of Adolf over the future of Formula One. The nine teams submitted conditional entries for next year's world championship on deadline day. But they still insisted on having a series of conditions - including the ditching of the twotier proposals that would have given poorer teams more technical freedom. Mosley's cost-cutting drive may not have dragged the budget cap down to the pounds 40million figure he quoted - but a compromise of pounds 85m is likely. One of the proposals is that teams will be able to choose a major exclusion to their budget, such as pounds 30m for driver salaries or the funding of a new technical development programme. |
