First prosecution for child recruitment.


* A three-to-one ruling by the appeals panel of the Special Court for Sierra Leone The Special Court for Sierra Leone is an independent judicial body set up to "try those who bear greatest responsibility" for the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Sierra Leone after 30 November 1996 during the Sierra Leone Civil War.  will allow the first prosecution for child recruitment by an international war crimes tribunal. The appeals judges ruled that the International Criminal Court statute of GLOUCESTER, STATUTE OF. An English statute, passed 6 Edw. I., A. D., 1278; so called, because it was passed at Gloucester. There were other statutes made at Gloucester, which do not bear this name. See stat. 2 Rich. II.
