. Jumah Al Dossari, who has been detained for four years and has begged his attorneys to get him out of isolation, has attempted suicide 10 times while in U.S. custody.

In the letter addressed to his lawyer, Al Dossari wrote," I hope you will always remember that you met and sat with a 'human being' called 'Jumah' who suffered too much and was abused in his belief, self, dignity and also in his humanity. He was imprisoned im·pris·on

Al Dossari wrote the letter last October, gave it to his attorney during a visit and then went into the bathroom where he slashed his arm and hung himself. His lawyer was able to save him, but Al Dossari has attempted suicide another two times since. As we went to print, Al Dossari remained in detention.
