First nationwide student-run TV channel.

The CampusEAI Consortium and Internet2 have launched the OPEN Student Television Network, the first nationwide student-produced television channel Through this collaboration, Open Student Television Network will now reach more than 3 million users at 220 Internet2 member research and education institutions, in addition to the 34 state education networks which have access to the Internet2 Abilene network. Abilene is a nationwide high-performance backbone network which operates at a speed 20,000 times faster than the average household broadband connection. For more information, visit www.ostn.tv.
