A study completed at Emory University I Atlanta, GA, concluded that the prevalence of urinary incontinence (UI) was 43.6% among women and 20.9% among men.

Collectively, UI sufferers spend over $1.5 billion on adult diapers on an annual basis. The number of UI sufferers increased to approximately 13 million Americans, of which 85% are women, and an increase in annual treatment costs to $16 billion.
