First affordable TV set-top videoconferencing solution to be offered by Logicode Technology Inc.


LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 1996--A complete TV set-top videophone (1) (VideoPhone) A line of videophones (definition #1 below) from AT&T that were introduced in the early 1990s and later pulled off the market due to poor sales. The first models came with a price tag above $1,000, and a pair were needed. See Picturephone.  for under $500 will soon be available from leading modem/data communications manufacturer Logicode Technology Inc.

Designed for use by technology novices and experts alike, installation is a simple matter of connecting the cables provided to a TV or VCR VCR: see videocassette recorder.

The Logicode TV set-top videoconferencing solution is scheduled to ship in March 1997, starting at a special introductory price of $499 U.S.
