), a premier provider of infrastructure software and solutions for real-time, rich media communications, today announced its new Click to Meet(TM) Developer Program for the Click to Meet Software Development Kit (SDK). The program offers support to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  and system integration partners for the addition of voice, video and data collaboration capabilities to their product and service offerings.

"Our battle-tested, Joint Interoperability Tool (JIT JIT - dynamic translation ) certified Click to Meet software offers enormous opportunities for systems integrators and defense contractors who are building network-centric collaboration and communications solutions. Now they can reduce their development time and expense, as well as meet interoperability standards for the Department of Defense," commented Duncan Campbell Duncan Campbell may refer to several people:

  • Duncan Campbell (The Guardian), writer on crime and Latin America.
, vice president of marketing for First Virtual Communications. "The same holds true for commercial OEMs developing CRM (Customer Relationship Management) An integrated information system that is used to plan, schedule and control the presales and postsales activities in an organization. , portal, groupware and messaging applications. Our 10 years of technological innovation can help to provide real bottom-line savings in time-to-market and costs of development expenses."

Through the new program, developer partners can take advantage of three levels of customization and integration of Click to Meet:

--The most basic level is the customization of conference room pages and the user interface. A developer can change the interface to match specific user requirements, including modifying elements such as layout, style, font and color scheme.

--The next level of customization allows developers to add functionality from other applications into Click to Meet. For instance, a systems integrator could embed an application which tracks troop movement for the military, (commonly known as blue force tracking) ensuring real-time access to soldiers' locations.

--The highest level of customization enables developers to embed Click to Meet functionality into other applications. For example, Click to Meet conferencing capabilities could be integrated into that same blue-force tracking application.

"This is one of the most complete solutions on the market today," stated Michael Howard

, principal analyst and co-founder of Infonetics Research. "With a client-server software model and a standards-based architecture for voice, video and data collaboration, the SDK and companion development program is a pragmatic, useful communications platform for First Virtual customers and partners worldwide."

The recently enhanced Click to Meet 4.0 provides a rich media communications platform that allows multiple users to collaborate in an online meeting environment with voice, video, data and text chat all integrated into a single application and single-window environment. As a software solution, Click to Meet can offer more affordable, more flexible deployment options, easier upgrades and lower cost processing power than hardware-based solutions.
