In order to interact with other participants, attendees use either a Web application or an application downloaded into their client machines.  and collaboration solutions, announced today that the company has appointed twenty-year industry veteran, Mark Reid, to the position of vice president of engineering. In this capacity, Reid will lead the engineering team in the continued development of First Virtual products as well as play a key role in defining future product roadmaps. Reid, who will be working out of First Virtual's Nashua, NH office, has also been named a member of the Company's Executive Council.
