First PMA Canada Exposition a rousing success.

What do you do when the first Canada Exposition is more successful than expected? You let everyone know preparation for the second annual event is already underway, which is what National Chairman Jean Simard of L.L. Lozeau Ltee, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, did at the event's gala dinner.

The Hamilton Convention Centre in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, was buzzing Sept. 23-24, as PMA Canada Exposition 2005 attracted a crowd of more than 600 to the combination trade show and workshops. Show attendees, exhibitors, and workshop speakers were surprised and delighted with the turnout, quality, and smooth operation of the event. (For a pictorial view of the event, see show pictures at www.cachelan.com and click on the visitor album on the left that says "PMA Canada 2005 Show Pictures.")

The seminar program included sessions on trends in consumer digital photography and strategies for maximizing kiosk investment, as well as designing good print ads, marketing to women, creating a proper business plan, branding, and attracting new business through scrapbooking. Also included in the 2-day event were exhibitor product training sessions, which gave store sales staff opportunities to learn more about products they will be selling.
