First PLA blown film.


Plastic Suppliers Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, an extruder of blown PS film for labels and envelope windows, has modified its process to make the world's first blown film out of polylactic acid (PLA (Programmable Logic Array) A type of programmable logic chip (PLD) that contained arrays of programmable AND and OR gates. PLAs are no longer used. See PLD.
