First Nations may support tariffs. (Around the North).


The Nishnawbe Aski Nation Nishnawbe Aski Nation (ᐊᓂᐦᔑᓈᐯ ᐊᔅᑭ ᐃᔥᑯᓂᑲᓇᓐ ᐅᑭᒫᐎᓐ (Anishinaabe-aski Ishkoniganan Ogimaawin), unpointed:  (NAN) wants to provide information to the World Trade Organization (WTO See World Trade Organization. ) that is not going make Northern Ontario Northern Ontario is the part of the province of Ontario which lies north of Lake Huron (including Georgian Bay), the French River and Lake Nipissing.

Northern Ontario has a land area of 802,000 km² (310,000 mi²) and constitutes 87% of the land area of Ontario, although it
 softwood lumber producers happy. The organization, representing 49 First Nations, is seeking input at a future WTO panel into the softwood lumber dispute. The British Columbia Interior The British Columbia Interior or BC Interior or Interior of British Columbia, usually referred to only as The Interior, is one of the three main regions of the Canadian province of British Columbia, the other two being the Lower Mainland, which comprises the  Alliance, a group of First Nations, has already been before the panel.

NAN wants to tell the softwood panel that the countervailing duties are justified if Ontario lumber companies have not paid compensation to First Nations.
