First Industrial adopts new service strategy.

First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc. has launched a new service targeted to corporate America. Integrated Industrial Solutions (IIS) is First Industrial's solution to addressing the changing needs of a diversified tenant base.

IIS integrates all of First Industrial's services including development, leasing, acquisition and market expertise to assist with supply chain reconfigurations on both a national and local level. Supply chain management is a tool that corporations utilize to design, develop and coordinate a fully integrated production chain involving manufacturing, assembling, packaging, storage, distribution and shipment to the consumer.

IIS was created specifically to address the dramatic changes taking place in corporate America. Benefits to the clients of First Industrial include removing surplus real estate from their balance sheet, freeing up funds to reinvest in the core business and providing a "one-stop shop" for all of a company's industrial real estate needs.

Through IIS, First Industrial's aim is to provide each client with a strategic plan to maximize their real estate usage. Whether it be disposing assets, leasing new facilities or reconfiguring existing space, First Industrial is able to service clients with space ranging from 1,000 to 1 million square feet. Existing clients of First Industrial's IIS service include Anheuser Busch, AT&T, FedEx, G.E., J.C. Penney, Lucent, Motorola, Sears and Woolworth/Venator Groups.
