First Financial Corporation announces dividend increase and sets annual meeting date.

The Univ. , Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 1996--First Financial Corporation announced today that its Board of Directors has approved a 25% increase in the regular quarterly cash dividend. The new dividend of $.15 per share on its common stock is payable to shareholders of record on March 15, and will be paid on March 29, 1996.

The company registered its sixth straight record year for profitability in 1995. Company officials said the dividend increase is consistent with their stated policy to return at least 20% of normal recurring profits to shareholders.

The dividend is the 61st consecutive quarterly dividend paid by the company since it went public in 1980.

The company also announced that its annual meeting of shareholders will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point, Wisconsin Stevens Point, Portage County, is located in the central part of the U.S. State of Wisconsin. It is the largest city and the county seat. As of the 2000 US Federal Census, the population was 24,551. The city was incorporated in 1858. . First Financial Corporation is the holding company for First Financial Bank, one of the midwest's largest savings banks.
