First Data completes sale of cable services unit.

HACKENSACK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1994--First Data Corp. (NYSE:FDC) Thursday said that it had completed the previously announced sale of its Cable Services Group Inc. unit to CSG Holdings Inc., a newly formed company owned by investment partnerships affiliated with Morgan Stanley Group Inc. (NYSE:MS) and Trident Capital, L.P.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

First Data also announced today that as part of the aforementioned agreement it will also sell its Phoenix-based Anasazi Inc. hospitality reservations unit to CSG Holdings. The company employs approximately 150 people. Terms of this transaction also were not disclosed.

Morgan Stanely Capital Partners III, L.P. and Morgan Stanely Venture Capital Fund II, L.P. are limited partnerships managed by affiliates of Morgan Stanley Group Inc., the global financial services firm. The limited partnerships make private equity and venture capital investments in a variety of industries and have combined capital commitments in excess of $1.5 billion.

Trident Capital, L.P. is a private equity investment firm founded in 1993 to invest in information and business services companies. The firm focuses on information based companies in a range of markets including financial services, healthcare, general business and select consumer markets.

First Data Corp. is a leading provider of high-quality, high-volume information processing and related services to the transaction card, payment instruments, teleservices, mutual fund, healthcare, receivables and information management industries.
