First Consulting Group Awarded Five-Year GSA Contract; Award Opens Door to Management, Organizational and Business Improvement Services for Federal Agencies.

First Consulting Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:FCGI), a leading provider of information-enabled consulting, integration, and management services to health-related organizations, has signed a five-year contract with the federal government's General Services Administration Management Services Center. The new MOBIS prime contract is for Management, Organizational and Business Improvement services to federal agencies and represents another significant step in advancing FCG's growing government services, a key part of the firm's overall growth strategy.

Under the contract, federal agencies will have direct access to a broad range of FCG's consulting, facilitation, program integration and project management services. The contract does not guarantee FCG any specific amount of new business. The new contract will complement FCG's existing GSA IT Professional Services Federal Supply Schedule contract, which primarily offers information technology-related services.

FCG entered the federal healthcare sector in 1998 as a subcontractor on work with the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs. The firm became a prime contractor in July 1999. Under the new GSA MOBIS contract, FCG will continue to serve as a prime contractor to DoD, DVA, Department of Health and Human Services, and agencies throughout the U.S. government.
