First Complete Solution for California Electronic Pedigree Legislation Now Available.

WOBURN, Mass. -- SupplyScape, Nosco and Systech International today announced the first integrated, seamless solution to address the growing global problem of counterfeiting and product diversion in the pharmaceutical industry. Together with systems integration leader HP, the companies are offering customers an all-inclusive solution framework to streamline compliance with the State of California's requirements for product serialization and electronic pedigrees, which take effect on Jan. 1, 2009.

The solution will help pharmaceutical companies improve their compliance posture with California's ePedigree law in an effort to ensure that the state's drug supply is safe and secure. Effective in January 2009, the California ePedigree law requires pharmaceutical manufacturers to create unique identifiers for products, track each product's pedigree and maintain electronic supply chain records. In addition to the law, wholesalers expect to receive serialized products in July 2008.
