First Charter Ground Breaking Ceremony Marks Construction of New Waxhaw Financial Center.


CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- First Charter Executives, Waxhaw Chamber of Commerce officials and Union County community officials including the Mayor of Waxhaw held a ground breaking ceremony Wednesday, May 30th. The groundbreaking ceremony marked the construction of the bank's newest financial center located in the Cureton development located at 8100 Kensington Drive in Waxhaw, North Carolina Waxhaw is a rapidly growning town located in Union County, NC. The population is currently estimated to be 7,400 and counting. Waxhaw is a suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina. Geography

The new 4,500 square foot First Charter Financial Center will provide full-service banking to individuals and businesses and will offer a complete range of personal, business and investment services. The financial center will include another 6,500 square feet for three drive thru teller lanes and a fourth lane for the drive thru ATM. YCH YCH Yan Chai Hospital  is the architect for the project and Liles Construction is the general contractor. The financial center is expected to open first quarter of 2008.
