First CITP Lifetime Achievement Award presented.


Dana (Rick) Richardson has been presented with the AICPA's first annual Certified Information Technology Professional Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) is a Certified Public Accountant recognized for their technology expertise and unique ability to bridge the gap between business and technology.  Lifetime Achievement Award for his extensive work with the CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000.  profession over the past 25 years in the area of information technology. The award includes a CITP (Certified Information Technology Professional) A specialty credential awarded by the AICPA to its CPA members who excel in the provision of technology-related business services.  specialty credential for life. Richardson is CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Richardson Media & Technologies, a Conn.-based multimedia and strategic consulting company. Prior to that, he spent 28 years with Ernst & Young in its technology area, including 12 years as National Director of Technology.
