First Associates Changes Name to Blackmont Capital.

TORONTO -- First Associates Investments Inc. announced that the company is changing its name to Blackmont Capital Inc. effective today.

"This is an exciting time for us," said Stuart Raftus, President and Chief Operating Officer. "We are eager to unveil our new name and logo and look forward to the opportunity to live up to our brand promise of becoming an elite firm that attracts the best in class."

The new name and logo are the result of over a year of research, consulting and design work. Employees across the country were asked to define where they wanted the company to be and what they wanted it to stand for going forward. They wanted the new brand to reflect the new reality of the company: a successful independent investment dealer that continues to attract industry leaders and successful investors.

"Through targeted acquisition and recruiting initiatives, we pulled together a sizable company in a fairly short period of time," explained Stuart Raftus.
