First Arab geology, mining digital map launched in Morocco.
The Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO) has launched the first geology and mining digital map for the Arab world, local MAP news agency reported Thursday. <p>The map was revealed Wednesday in the Moroccan capital of Rabat during a conference that gathered Arab ministers and officials in the field of mining, the report said.
The map will ease mining exploration and treatment projects, AIDMO Director General Mohammad bin Yussef said at the conference, adding that it will also contribute to the economic growth in the Arab world.
The map will encourage Arab cooperation in the exploration for minerals and water, and improve territory development, he added.
Participants in the conference have called for the regular updating of the map with the new mining sites that are fit for investments.
