First Annual Horizon Awards A Success Within Sports Industry.

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 2000

The first annual Horizon Awards, produced by the Atlanta Sports Council in conjunction with the eSportsWorld Conference and Exhibition, showcased the accomplishments of leaders, celebrities and athletes in sports business and the eSports industry from around the world, at its awards ceremony held last night at the Westin Peachtree Plaza.

 professional wrestler, hosted the inaugural event.

Nominees were judged by a Blue Ribbon Voting Panel made up of senior executives from the industries of Sports, Technology and Media. Presenters included CNN's Larry King (from his set in Los Angeles); ABC-TV sports broadcaster, Terry Bowden; Phil Neikro, formerly with MLB's Atlanta Braves; CNN CNN
 or Cable News Network
