First American Title Insurance Company chooses iRise.

i Rise, El Segundo, California, announced that First American Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California--a subsidiary of First American Corporation, also based in Santa Ana, California--has chosen iRise to visualize its software applications.

iRise offers a collaborative software platform that enables businesses to quickly visualize and "test-market" applications before a single line of code is written.

Using iRise, businesspeople can understand what they need and then communicate that knowledge to others using visual models that replicate the exact look, feel and behavior of the final product, taking the guesswork out of application definition, according to Emmet B. Keeffe III, chief executive officer and co-founder of iRise.

"The competitive nature of the financial services industry has driven a consistent need to innovate," said Keeffe. "Companies such as First American Title Insurance Company are leveraging visualization technology to deliver better financial products faster. iRise is excited to be playing a key role in helping our customers deliver incredible products to the market."

The iRise tool will be the primary tool used by the title insurance company's information technology department to elicit business and functional requirements, and develop product designs and prototypes with internal and external stakeholders and end users, explained Jayson Murray, vice president of the Project Fulfillment Group for First American Title Insurance Company.

"There's no question that we will improve the quality of business applications and system enhancements we deliver with iRise," said Murray. "A picture is worth a thousand words, and iRise makes it easier to work with requirements in a visual model, make changes and see those changes reflected in the project vision right away. By having application requirements represented in a visual way, as opposed to in text, that process reduces miscommunication around how an application should look, feel and interact."
