:FAH) will begin trading its stock on the American Stock Exchange American Stock Exchange (AMEX)

Stock exchange in the U.S. Originally known as “the Curb,” it began as an outdoor marketplace in New York City c. 1850. It moved indoors to its present location in the Wall Street area in 1921.
 under the symbol FAH.

Previously listed on the NASDAQ National Market, the company will make this change effective on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999.

According to John A. Raycraft, president & chief executive officer of First American Health Concepts, "The American Stock Exchange and its specialist system provides an efficient market and support for the stock of smaller firms like ours. At this stage of our development, I believe our shareholders will be best served through AMEX's services and market activities.

"We look forward to developing a valuable relationship with our selected AMEX specialist, Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, and to exploring the benefits the specialist system will bring to our shareholders."
