First American Bank Names New Chairman and CEO for Houston Market.

First American Bank announced that Steve Oglesby has joined the company as chairman and chief executive officer of First American Bank, Houston. In this role, Oglesby will oversee all of First American Bank's operations in the greater Houston area including nine full-service banking centers.

Oglesby has been in the financial industry for more than 20 years. He joined Texas Commerce Bank, Houston ("TCB") in 1982 and served in numerous capacities, the last as executive vice president where he supervised the business development effort for client relationships of companies with revenues over $100 million. Since leaving TCB/Chase in 1996, Oglesby has held a number of positions, most recently as managing partner of Huntleigh Capital, an investment capital company providing financial services to middle market companies. In addition, Oglesby currently serves on several boards of Houston-based businesses.

First American Bank currently has local banking centers in Cinco Ranch, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Briarlake, Greenway Plaza, Deerbrook Mall, Dairy Ashford and Broadway areas. A banking center is scheduled to open in the Cypresswood area (Highway 249 at Cypresswood) in late 2004.
