Global, have donated to Waveland, Miss. a specially modified version of WorldWater & Power's MobileMax Pure[TM], a solar powered mobile water purification WorldWater, developers of proprietary high-powered solar technology in Pennington, N.J., and NAI Global, the world's only managed network of commercial real estate firms, based in Princeton, N.J., are donating the unit to the people of Waveland, Miss., one of the hardest-hit communities by Hurricane Katrina The two companies are sharing the cost of the mobile critical response pumping and power unit, Mobile MaxPure[TM], which is capable of delivering purified water Purified water can come from any source, including spring water, well water, seawater, or municipal water. This source water is then processed by reverse osmosis or deionization to produce a water that is indistinguishable from distilled water from any other source. and generating electricity for lighting and other power requirements. As a portable "power utility," the unit can be moved from critical point to point and begin delivering water and power in minutes after arrival at site. Assistance to locate an appropriate destination for the Mobile MaxPure[TM] was provided by Congressman Rush Holt (NJ--12th District), Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes, Dean Raymond, county coordinator for the Mercer County Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC), Scott Sklar, solar activist and president of The Stella Group, Ltd. in Washington, DC were instrumental in helping to establish contact with the Governor of Mississippi and his technical and humanitarian officials. |
