Firm launches employee training institute.


A new comprehensive training program to enhance overall educational and training opportunities within the firm and assist employees in maintaining professional licenses and technical certifications has been created by Parsons Brinckerhoff Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) is a planning, engineering, program and construction management organization. The company has been involved in planning and designing some of the world's largest public works projects, such as Boston's Big Dig, Britain's rail system Network Rail;  (PB).

Called the PB Institute, the program offers PB-sponsored training courses that will be certified See certification.  for continuing education continuing education: see adult education.

Any form of learning provided for adults. In the U.S. the University of Wisconsin was the first academic institution to offer such programs (1904).
 credits. Many of the courses will enable PB employees to obtain the credits necessary to maintain current professional designations. In addition, the PB Institute will offer courses of specific technical interest to enhance the technical and professional development of PB employees. A site has been established on the company's Intranet that contains information on licensing boards and mandatory Peremptory; obligatory; required; that which must be subscribed to or obeyed.

Mandatory statutes are those that require, as opposed to permit, a particular course of action.

The PB Institute will also maintain comprehensive records on internal and external courses taken by PB employees, providing access to training transcripts for all courses taken and to certify cer·ti·fy
