Each volume in this attractive field guide series offers hundreds of full-color photos, maps and drawings, along with descriptions of habitats and of the species that inhabit them around the world. There are chapters on subjects like "Group Stategies," for reef dwellers, "Life in a Shell," for turtles and tortoises, and "Myths and Legends Myths and Legends is a Collectible Card Game based on universal mythologies, developed in 2000 in Santiago, Chile. The game now has 0 editions and more than 3,000 collectible cards. " and "How to Avoid and Assist Sharks," in the shark volume, among other topics. For each species there is a brief explanation of its range, distribution, habitat, size, habits, scientific name, and whether it is considered endangered. The authors are nature photographers and writers, and the photos are clear and beautiful. The descriptions are succinct suc·cinct
