Firearms Training Systems, Inc. Announces Contract Awards by the United Kingdom, The Singapore Army and Police Coast Guard, and Bahrain.

SUWANEE, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 13, 1999--

Firearms Training Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: FATS) today announced that contracts have been awarded to the Company in the past several weeks with a total approximate value of $9,650,000 in backlog, plus options for approximately $6,400,000. The British Ministry of Defence awarded FATS a support contract with an estimated value of approximately $3,800,000 which will provide for two years of repair and maintenance of the 163 systems used to train the U.K. Armed Forces throughout the world. FATS also was awarded two support contracts by the Singapore Government to operate, train and maintain Singapore Army and Police Coast Guard systems with a total value of approximately $5,300,000 over three years and options for a three to nine year extension. Additionally, the Company advised that the Bahrain Defence Force has purchased small arms simulators valued at $550,000 with options to procure an equal amount in the future.
