BACKGROUND: The Wireless Power Platform(TM) consists of a Wireless Power Transmitter that sends out radio frequency (RF) energy to Wireless Power Supplies, which include highly efficient RF to DC converters that translate RF energy into usable power. "For the first time this enables power to be transmitted safely and reliably through the air, 'pulling energy out of the thin air' so to speak," said John Shearer, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Firefly Power Technologies.

During the course of the two-day showcase, Firefly Power Technologies will demonstrate this exciting and far-reaching new technology. The Showcase for Commerce is held on the floor of the Cambria County War Memorial Arena with 140 different exhibitors. Present will be many of the defense industry's largest and best-known prime contractors and subcontractors such as Bell Helicopter Bell Helicopter Textron is an American helicopter and tiltrotor manufacturer headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. FireFly is joining with XeC IntelliSensor, a systems integrator of wireless sensor networks, to serve several industrial markets. "Intelligent Wireless Sensor Networks have a multitude of market applications from industrial monitoring, building automation, military and security to medical applications and many, many others," comments Michael Pochan, CEO of XeC IntelliSensor. "Clearly FireFly's technology is a huge opportunity. Battery life has proven to be an issue in intelligent wireless sensor implementations and cabling for electric power can be cost prohibitive. Also FireFly's Wireless Power Platform(TM) allows sensors to be installed in locations which are difficult to power."

FireFly Power Technologies, LLC is the leader in RF energy harvesting with their patented "Wireless Power Platform(TM)." FireFly is currently working with a number of organizations, systems integrators and battery manufacturers in a number of key areas - government, medical, commercial and consumer. FireFly and XeC IntelliSensor have successfully powered wireless sensors for temperature monitoring in a harsh environment zoo exhibit.

XeC IntelliSensor (ISS ISS
