Our company was established in 1982 as a manufacturer of dust collection systems for sawmills and particleboard plants. The all heavy-duty, high-production fingerjointer features a lug chain that allows customers to achieve extra life from their chain by simply following some very basic maintenance guides. Another area that we have focused on is decreasing the changeover time that is typical in any fingerjointing system.

Changing from different widths and thicknesses can slow the overall productivity of a plant's daily output. By decreasing these changeover times, we help put money back into our customers' pockets. Another feature is our electronically adjustable air bag hold system. It allows end-users to adjust thicknesses by simply entering their desired size.

Other options that we offer with this machine are the out-of-square block detection system and our out-of-square lug detection system with squaring device. These options, along with our new board press, are why we are an industry leader in horizontal fingerjointing.

Another area in which we have clearly separated ourselves from the competition is our field service and spare parts department. Customers continuously praise our service due to our ability to cater to their needs by keeping parts in stock at all times. In order to stock parts for all machines, we try to stick with basic system design, and then take that concept and improve on it. Our team of experienced service technicians is another tremendous asset to Western Machinery Group. We have factory-trained technicians on staff to take field service calls. Field service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Having been in the horizontal fingerjointing field longer than our competition allows us to provide more expert opinions and solve basic problems that other companies might not be equipped to handle.

Western Machinery Group also is able to provide customers a complete turnkey operation. Not only are we manufacturers of fingerjointers and knife grinders, we also design, fabricate and install complete plant projects. We can provide all of the material handling equipment for paint lines, edge glue lines and planer lines. We also manufacture our own stackers and break-down hoists. Having done projects all over the world, we have the experience in dealing with every species of wood, in practically every working environment and climate. Providing our customers with this kind of service is paramount to our company and often gives us the advantage when it comes to bidding on a project.
