Financing Xanadu.


Financing Xanadu: Colony Capital Acquisitions LLC, a subsidiary of LA-based Colony Capital, completed the recapitalization of the 2.2 million square foot Meadowlands Xanadu, a sports, leisure, shopping, and entertainment facility in northern New Jersey. Colony will lead the $1.5 billion in additional financing needed to finish the project, including $500 million in equity and about $1 billion in debt and additional capital. Six anchor tenants have signed leases to occupy 500,000 square feet. They include Cabela's, an outdoor lifestyle outfitter; AEG Live; Muvico, a movie theater and full restaurant; Strike MX, a martini bar and bowling alley; Forever 21 : and Children's Place.
