Open Systems Inc. has added Active Financial Statements, "a significant new feature," to TRAVERSE traverse - traversal  version 10. This feature allows the user to produce interactive statements that can be used to drill down to the underlying data.

TRAVERSE Active Financial Statements work with the statements included in the general ledger General Ledger

A company's accounting records. This formal ledger contains all the financial accounts and statements of a business.

Notes:
The ledger uses two columns: one records debits, the other has offsetting credits.

TRAVERSE version 10 includes many additional enhancements, including improved financial reporting, bar code support, improved general ledger and Inventory drill-down functionality, a "new employees" function in System Manager, a green bar format option on reports where appropriate, and support for Windows desktop color schemes. It also features Microsoft SQL Server A relational DBMS from Microsoft that is a major component of the Windows Server System.
