Finance. (Newsmakers).Residential finance firm Countrywide Home Loans Inc. has promoted John W. Stewart to executive vice president of strategic business development. Stewart, who most recently worked as Countrywide's senior vice president of strategic business development, will manage national revenue sharing initiatives. WMC Mortgage Corp., a wholesale lender, has appointed Ed Gong gong, percussion instrument consisting of a disk, usually with upturned edges, 3 ft (91 cm) or more in diameter in the modern orchestra, often made of bronze, and struck with a felt- or leather-covered mallet or drumstick. Of ancient origin—representations of the gong date back to the 6th cent. A.D.—it has also been called the tam-tam. vice president for northwest regional production and Paul Blanchard vice president of Northeast regional production. Gong was previously a regional vice president of Aames Financial Corp. Blanchard was formerly with Douglas-Michaels Co. Greif & Co., an investment bank, has named William L. Brennan and Vincent Lawler vice presidents. Prior to joining Greif, Brennan was a principal with Klein Investment Group, L.P.
