Final statement: accounting for Share-Based Payment.


FASB Statement No. 123 (revised 2004), Share-Based Payment, requires the compensation cost relating to stock option payment transactions be recognized in financial statements.

The statement is the result of a two-year effort to improve the accounting for stock option payment arrangements with employees.
