Filnet Powers up the PWPCS HR Website; New Site Will Allow Public School Teachers to Complete Orientation Process Anytime, Anywhere.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Today Filnet, Inc. announces the launch of the Employment Orientation website for Prince William County Public Schools (PWCPS), a time-saving online tool that allows newly hired local teachers to complete the orientation process anytime, anywhere and at their own pace. Filnet provided the technology that powers the PWCPS site. Located at http://orientation.pwcs.edu/oos_login.php, the website is comprised of a four-part orientation process, which includes two mandated streaming videos.

The website is designed to accommodate the demanding schedules of new PWCPS teachers. Accordingly, if teachers wish to discontinue the orientation process due to time constraints, they may logout and sign on later to complete the process where they left off.

Virginia statutes require that regularly employed educators hold valid teaching licenses. The new site guides teachers through an interactive questionnaire to help them complete the licensure process if needed. As new teachers answer questions related to specific licensure issues, the website intuitively gives special licensure instructions and the related forms that must be completed, signed and mailed out for processing.

As the third largest public school district in Virginia, PWCPS employees employs nearly 4,500 teachers. The school system may hire up to 750 new teachers for the 2005-6 school year.
