Festivals and California Dance.The American College Dance Festival Association's schedule for 1999 includes three days of workshops, master classes, lecture demonstrations, and adjudicated performances at each site. ACDFA ACDFA American College Dance Festival Association (Rockville, MD) is committed to supporting and promoting college and university dance through sponsorship of regional and national festivals. Central to the educational mission of ADCFA is the adjudication process, through which students and faculty receive feedback from a panel of nationally recognized dance professionals in an open and constructive procedure. PPC will institute a three-year course, master of arts Master of Arts Noun a degree, usually postgraduate in a nonscientific subject, or a person holding this degree Noun 1. Master of Arts - a master's degree in arts and sciences Artium Magister, MA, AM in dance, geared to recent graduates and midcareer professionals beginning in the fall of 2003. 2. The Playhouse Dance Theatre, the college's dance group, has been renamed the Playhouse Dance Company. It plans four productions per season. Student choreography showcases will be offered in the fall and spring. 3. The Playhouse Dance Company's theater has been renamed the Pittsburgh Playhouse of Point Park College. 4.
