Festivalof jazz set to entertain thousands.

THOUSANDS of people are expected in Southport for this year's annual jazz festival.

The Southport Jazz Festival starts on Thursday June 19 when some of the best-known names in the jazz world will perform at venues across the town centre.

Almost 200 artists will be taking part in the festival including M-People's Heather Small and Snake Davis,The BBC Radio Big Band , the Big Chris Barber Band and the Fapy Lafertin Quartet.

New this year is the Southport Jazz Festival Club at Southport Arts Centre which gives jazz lovers the chance to see eight concerts on Saturday June 21.
