The reason the Festival of Light was a parade around the town was due to the unavailability of St George's Square - which is still causing disquiet.

Idlejohn said: "I made one of my infrequent trips to Huddersfield yesterday to drop a friend off at the station and what a mess the place is in!

"Total chaos Total Chaos is a series of simple turn based strategy game / card game / board games for the Amiga. They were written by James Conwell and a group of developers known as Team Chaos.  as far as traffic was concerned with vehicles coming out using both lanes to get onto John William Street even though it is two-way. The place looks like a bomb site, little or no road signing adding to the chaos and also clogged up with taxis hanging about the place."
