Festival of music and art project.THE official Brinkburn Music Festival takes place over two successive weekends but there is a fringe programme this year. Two concerts featuring established and up-and-coming performers will take place tomorrow and Wednesday in the historic priory near Rothbury. Tomorrow's concert will see opera stars Graeme Danby and Valerie Reid perform Faur's Requiem requiem (rĕk`wēəm, rē`–, rā`–) [Lat.,=rest], proper Mass for the souls of the dead, performed on All Souls' Day and at funerals. and additional secular music any music or songs not adapted to sacred uses. At Wednesday's concert, students of Northumbria and Sunderland universities will sing a compilation of hits from the musicals, including Chicago, Les Misrables and 42nd Street. "This looks set to be a spectacular couple of evenings," said Graeme. The fringe concerts, organised by Tony Walton Tony Walton (born Anthony John Walton, 24 October, 1934) is an English Oscar, Tony and Emmy-winning set and costume designer. A BRAZILIAN artist is one of the last to cast her eyes over the Waygood Art Boutique's exhibition space before it is lost in the large-scale revamp. The gallery in High Bridge, Newcastle, is being transformed into a new visual arts venue and the area which has been used for exhibitions is now hosting its final project.
